Spice Girls superfan's collection of the girl bands dolls worth 18,000

I’LL tell you what I want, what I really, really want — more Spice Girls dolls.

Superfan Adam Weatherly has spiced up his life with more than 300 of the toys.

He now has the world’s largest collection of the girl band’s dolls — amassed over the past 25 years and worth around £18,000.

Adam, 36, even has a special Spice Room at his home to display his plastic pop princesses.

His obsession started when he heard Posh, Ginger, Baby, Scary and Sporty Spice’s 1996 single Say You’ll Be There on the radio.

Adam, then aged 12, badgered his parents to take him to a local petrol station where he bought an On Tour Posh Doll, pictured right.

He said: “As a kid, my whole life changed when those five women appeared telling me they would be giving me everything, all that joy could bring.

“I’ve always loved and supported them and I always will.

“The moment I heard they were making dolls I promised myself no matter how many there were, I was going to collect them all. I’m still currently at it 20 years on.

“They are iconic and are little replicas of the Spice Girls themselves. They taught me as a kid you could do anything if you put your mind to it.”

Adam, from Virginia, US, hopes the group — Mel B, 46, Victoria Beckham, 47, Emma Bunton, 45, Melanie C, 45, and Geri Halliwell, 48 — will be reforming for the 25th anniversary of their 1996 debut single Wannabe.

He added: “Unfortunately, I’ve never seen them live or met any of them. My dreams are always larger than life.

“I carry that little bit of hope it will happen but I try not to entertain the idea of it. The best I can do is be a true fan to them.”

Spice Girls are releasing first song since 2007 called Feed Your Love to celebrate their 25th anniversary
